Dave Jones's long introduction to op-amps covering the basic rules, virtual ground, common configurations and part selection; recommended to learners who found textbook treatments hard going.
Alan Wolke compares split, single and virtual-ground supplies for op amps; people use it to work out how to bias inputs from a single battery.
Explains deriving positive and negative rails from a single DC supply using a capacitive splitter, and hobbyists cite it when powering audio amplifiers and preamps.
Cited as one way to derive a dual rail from a single supply using an op-amp virtual ground, though one poster wanted its drawbacks checked.
